Job Description :*

*Role/Purpose*

Analyzes complex business problems relating to systems and/or process.
Partners with business users to identify gaps and opportunities by assessing
existing IT applications, infrastructure, best practices and business
objectives. Defines and documents functional and non-functional requirements
and total solution proposals for business process modifications/enhancements
for existing and future systems. Provides technical expertise in
identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost
effective and meet user/customer requirements. May configure system settings
and options. May plan and execute functional and acceptance testing. May
provide ongoing support to the business community regarding application
functionality, business processes and data integrity.



*Principal Duties and Responsibilities*

Serves as the liaison between the customer community (internal and external
customers) and the IT development team.

Consults with project stakeholders to understand business problems and
translates them into functional and non-functional requirements. Critically
evaluates information gathered from multiple sources and reconciles
conflicts. Dissects high-level information into details and is able to
communicate details in a manner understood by relevant audiences. Where
possible, influences requirements and process to effectively utilize systems
and applications without customization.

Analyzes the changes within the system per user /customer business needs.
Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises
logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, may perform configuration, tests,
and roll-outs to business users.

Tests solutions and ensures they meet both functional and non-functional
requirements. May require creating and executing test plans and test cases,
log and prioritize defects.

Collaborates with Project Manager on tasks related to the planning,
scheduling and coordination of project activities. Participates in software
estimation process, such as Delphi. Estimates resource time and costs.

Balances business requirements with technical feasibility and sets
expectations on new projects. Recommends changes in development, maintenance
and system standards. Determines resources and timeline.



*Experience Requirements*

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.

B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related
fields. M.S. or MBA is preferred.

Minimum 5+ years of experience as a business system analyst in the area ERP,
and back-office enterprise applications in IT organization.

Experience with Cloud Computing (data center management), and production
systems deployment and operation requirement gathering (such as Monitoring,
operational reporting metrics) is a plus.

Experience with desktop software application licensing technology (e.g.
Flexra Flexnet/Safecast) for product registration and activation is a plus
but not required.

Experience with defining IT system and performance aspects (non-functional
requirements, SLA) of modern web applications and web services.

Agile/scrum development experience is preferred and is a plus.

Experience with Microsoft Office suite is required, preferably 2010,
including Visio and PowerPoint.
