This is a contract-to-hire position. Client’s production support team works in a .net/C#/Web Services/JavaScript/SQL environment covering several different systems and the associated data. The successful candidate will work with business systems analysts, DBA's, QA tester and business partners in debugging and improving existing applications and the producer portal. The interfaces are in C#, .net, Javascript, and Delphi. The underlying processing is SQL. The reporting is in Crystal Reports, SSRS and Excel. The successful candidate will unit test thoroughly, document their code, present their code for code review, document progress via the bug tracking/change request system and document anything whatsoever that might help in the wiki. * **Position Requirements:* *Candidates must demonstrate all of the following technical competencies:* · 5+ years software development experience · 3+ years of experience in .NET (C#) and web based software applications. · 2+ years of experience developing and/or supporting complex, data driven UIs · Expertise in MS-SQL 2008 (writing SQL queries, stored procedure, functions, CLR’s) · Expertise in the following technologies and languages: VSS, TFS, Web Services, C#/.NET, Javascript, MS Visual Studio, SSRS, Crystal Reports · Demonstrated success in maintaining and enhancing undocumented legacy code. *In addition, we are looking for:* · Strong emphasis on unit testing and delivering defect-free code to QA · Strong knowledge of OOP · Skill in building reusable components · Strong trouble-shooting and analytical skills · Must possess nerves of steel and be willing and able to juggle multiple short- and moderate-duration projects simultaneously. · Must be willing to document as you learn. · Familiarity with Delphi would be a plus.
