Skills: Relevant Experience (Yrs) : 4+ Years of Storage and Backup Experience with EMC VMax, Data replication Technical/Functional Skills : . Monitoring and management of Data Center Storage Storage Management (EMC VMAX, VNXe, MDS, UIM and NAS) and Backup(EMC Avamor) . Data storage (e.g., RAID array, SAN, NAS, tape, optical, etc.) . Input processing, for activities such as loading third-party tape and receipt and/or transmission of batch electronic files . Management of intra company file transfers and/or other data movement . Data Replication . Managing user accounts, authorization, disk space quotas and access control (OS, mail, database, middleware, file systems, disk space, etc.) . Clustering. . On-call support . Data backup and restoration services, including all remote sites with servers/systems requiring data backup, restoration, and disaster recovery services . Disaster recovery - planning and execution . Data Center Operations Experience . Availability of Storage and capacity management using native tools . Knowing ITIL Concepts will be an advantage. Experience Required . Must have a proven track record of leading Managed Services for large customers. Should have ability to interact with stakeholders and vendors to define system functionality meeting/exceeding client expectations. Must have thorough knowledge on Storage Management and should have knowledge on handling end to end processes. Roles & Responsibilities : . Provide Level 3 support for escalated incidents related to storage in the perspective of EMC VMAX, NAS/NFS storage . Support product upgrades and infrastructure enhancements . Provide expertise in issues related to backend storage and mapping of virtual machines through vCenter and Dell VIS . Monitor memory/storage utilizations of hosts and take proactive steps . Review and approve standard operating procedures and knowledge items . Provide expertise in determining root cause for problem tickets . Work in-tandem with Server and Tools team for resolving issuesStorage Engineer . Delivery of status reporting to Project Managers . Coordinating day-to-day work with Supplier personnel . Actively identify and manage project risks. Discuss risks and mitigation strategies . Ability to work towards meeting the needs on time. . Acts as single point of contact for the Storage and Backup Tower . Manage knowledge transition within the team and outside . Provide daily operational management . Manage workload of team members . Prioritize service requests, in consultation with Clients . Attend scheduled meetings with designated management to review status, problems and solutions . Resolve service delivery issues and manage ad hoc requests . Open a trouble ticket with Incident Tools when an outage occurs at a remote location . Report, log, and update outages in the internal ticketing tool. . Must be able to work in a team environment and possess interpersonal and written communication skills. . Focus on continuous process improvement and service quality . SLA monitoring and tracking . Provide technical assistance to team members . Coordinate with offshore team, Technical Leads and Project Managers . Provide Level 3 support for escalated incidents related to storage in the perspective of EMC VMAX, NAS/NFS storage .
