*Job Title: VoIP Test Engineer*
*Location: Denver CO*
*Duration: Initial 6-12 month contract*
*Rate: $35/hr c2c *
*Primary Skills:*
Need someone who understands VoIP networking, IP interconnection
requirements, SIP and Media Gateway profiles, those sorts of things.
Need to understand interconnection requirements, chase down
inter-operability gaps and recommend solutions to overcome gaps in IP
interconnection requirements.
*Job Description:*
Rapid definition of business requirements needed for VoIP call
processing, VoIP call mediation and VoIP OSS systems and process
development needs
Knowledge of technical specifications needed to optimally design &
provision VoIP/SIP interconnection circuits and bandwidth
Ability to understand & leverage existing transport and access
facilities to optimally design SIP interconnect circuits and bandwidth
Insure carrier technical / inter-operability specifications are
properly interpreted and any gaps identified and solutions recommended
Need to identify VoIP call volumes, convert to and from concurrent
calls to/from traditional MOUs for VoIP traffic forecasting
*Job Requirements*
*Primary Skills:*

*Functional Responsibilities:*
Size, design and provision VoIP / SIP interconnect trunking facilities
Assess internal and carrier partner VoIP inter-operability requirements
and identify gaps and create solutions enabling smooth inter-operability
Develop VoIP interconnect test plans and execute testing strategies to
confirm all SIP traffic flows are working properly prior to production
Support Carrier Interconnect Planning team on all VoIP-related
technical issues and solve VoIP-centric problems as they arise
*Required Qualifications:*
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, and 7-9 years progressive, technical
experience required. MBA or MIS or equivalent work experience preferred.
VoIP technical networking experience
Ability to optimally size, design, and provision SIP interconnect
trunking networks
Define business and system requirements to insure inter-operability
across multiple vendor devices and multiple carrier partner networks
Ability to interpret carrier partner inter-operability specifications
and identify systems, methods and processes to insure smooth
inter-operation of VoIP networks
Work well in both technical and non-technical cross-functional teams
Strong communicator with ability to work across multiple functions,
disciplines and management levels.
Self-starter willing and able to solve multiple technical and adaptive
challenges in a fast-paced environment
Financial / quantitative analysis skills to assess existing call flow
data to enable collection of historical data and forecasting future
projected call volumes & bandwidth requirements
