Contract Data Quality Analyst (Information Engineer)

Job Summary:
This role works to execute the enterpris data quality strategy, lifecycle
and all of its activities. The Data Quality Analyst will work with the
Information Governance team and other business units to facilitate in
acquiring data quality requirements, the definition of data quality
measures, and the definition of business rules needed to verify and
validate the quality of data. The Data Quality Analyst will execute
technical processes to analyze and measure data quality that will enable
the enterprise to meet the data quality requirements in terms of accuracy,
completeness and compliance and project teams to understand any challenges
/ issues that may exist with data needed for the service being developed.

*Primary Activities and Responsibilities:*

   - Participate in the maintenance of the enterpris technical Data Quality
   Management strategy
   - Perform data quality profiling on various source systems for better
   understanding of data and surface data quality improvement opportunities
   while working with Data Stewards
   - Resolve data quality problems for various projects by recommending,
   designing, implementing and monitoring data quality procedures.
   - Design, collect, analyze and report on data quality assurance /
   production performance metrics
   - Manage data quality documentation and provide data quality
   presentations to members of the organization
   - Act as backup data quality tool administrator, interacting with vendor
   to open and resolve issues
   - Advocate for Data Management principles and capabilities within the
   organization
   - Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.


*Minimum Qualifications: *
Bachlors degree from an accredited institution required
*3 or more years of experience required in data profiling, data quality
analysis, data standardization, data cleansing, data management and
Application Development*
*3 or more years of experience as a Data Quality Analyst / Engineer using
Enterprise Data Quality tools like DataFlux, Oracle Enterprise Data Quality
(OEDQ) e.t.c Equivalent*

Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree from an accredited institution required in Computer
Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or related
major field of study
5 or more years of experience required in data profiling, data quality
analysis, data standardization, data cleansing, data management and
Application Development
5 or more years of experience as a Data Quality Analyst / Engineer using
Enterprise Data Quality tools like DataFlux, Talend, Oracle Enterprise Data
Quality (OEDQ) e.t.c

*Preferred Qualifications In addition to meeting the above qualifications,
any of the following are preferred:*

   - Bachlors degree from an accredited institution in Information
   Systems/Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
   - 3 or more years of experience as a Data Quality Analyst / Engineer
   using Oracle Enterprise Data Quality (OEDQ) for Data Quality Analysis
   - Experience with projects relevant to the focus of this position which
   includes Data Quality Management and Data Management
   - Software Development background
   - Experience in the Transportation Industry
   - A recognized data quality certification

Strong advocate for data and data quality principles
Meticulous in approach to work and outstanding attention to detail
Strong knowledge of computer programming languages and code.
Proven experience in developing functional applications and systems of
medium to high technical complexity
Microsoft Office Skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent Customer service skills
Excellent Relationship Management skills
Time management and organizational planning skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities; Troubleshoot issues -
Ability to collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and
milestones - Oracle PL/SQL and Java development experience Job
Requirements: - Work hours may vary in length and schedule. Work hours may
include a nonstandard workweek. - 5% travel required. - Work hours may
include on call 7 days a week, 24 hours per day, with extended periods of
time away from home. - The applicant selected for this position may be
required to successfully complete a background check and drug test. Passing
results must be received prior to start date in new position. Environmental
Conditions: Work inside an office environment.
