*Title:* *QA Analyst* posted on 2013-06-18 09:53:02 *Job Description:*Job Title: QA Engineer Location: Milford, CT Contract: 6 months Contract Brief Job Description REGAN seeks a senior or lead level QA engineer to automate enterprise software products and applications. This is a technical QA position and requires experience with software coding\programming in several languages and knowledge of several automation tools. Additionally, the position requires the ability to develop and design automated test strategies that helps increase testing coverage and reduce overall testing cycle times. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Solid experience in software development and testing of enterprise-level applications Ability to develop and design automated test strategies that helps increase testing coverage and reduce overall testing cycle times. Work with project specific teams to assess testing assets, leverage new business requirements and develop a suite of automated testing assets that will be executed frequently as releases emerge from development teams. Working knowledge of Agile development methods, test driven development, and Agile test automation Integrate automate testing assets into an automated build and release environment for continuous delivery of products across the department’s active initiatives. Assist with the Continuous Delivery effort contributing to the design and usage of automated regression assets effectively reducing the code to production release cycles. Utilize currently available testing tools that are tightly integrated into FWH’s build, development and source control environments; looks for opportunities to introduce new testing tools when appropriate Ability to quickly spin up test environments via scripting tools, kick off automated tests and analyze results. Expand the department’s expertise in integrating automated build practices with automated testing assets, providing clearer feedback of testing results to developers and continually refreshing regression abilities. Provide technical assistance and mentoring to other QA Analysts related to automation skills to increase the coverage in manual testing practices, also setting up workflows to transfer new testing code to regression libraries. *Job Requirements:* Technical and Business-Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 5+ years experience in Software Development and Testing 5 years of coding experience in at least two of the following languages : Java, C#, C+, Java Script or VB Script. Strong working knowledge of unit testing and automated testing tools; experience with Test Complete, Randorex, and n-unit highly preferred Familiarity with advanced software / testing methodologies such as Agile, test driven development, and continuous integration Working knowledge of SQL. Demonstrated ability to have effectively created successful application automation test strategies and routines. Strong knowledge of web protocols, networking, client and server based application testing and virtualization. Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to ever changing priorities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrate initiative and good judgment considering that decisions have impacts of projects, schedules and team activities. Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team. Educational Background or Professional Designation Required: Four-year College Degree, BS Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math (preferred) OR Equivalent combination of education and experience.
