Key Responsibilities:

?    Troubleshoot & resolve complex messaging issues with application SMTP
mail routing
?    Troubleshoot & resolve complex messaging issues with end user email
?    Manage Anti Virus & Anti Spam policies with reference to enterprise
messaging platforms
?    Manage and administer all aspects of Google Apps for Work
?    Design, plan and manage large email messaging migrations due to
acquisition/divestiture
?    Perform 2nd line Active Directory tasks - user & group account
management
?    Perform Move, Additions, Deletion and Changes as necessary in
accordance with departmental change policy
?    Take appropriate steps to resolve Service Issues as and when they
occur.
?    Raise and execute Change Records in accordance with departmental
change policy
?    Participation in the On-Call Global support rota or work on shift
basis to support all regions.
?    Engage with vendors to report, track and prevent outages and incidents.
?    Work with Pearson security groups to ensure key requests and actions
related to messaging are fulfilled in a timely manner to help maintain a
secure environment
?    Participate in messaging forensics as required by the Pearson Security
teams
?    Manage Cisco ironport SMTP relay infrastructure in a fully globally
load balanced (F5) environment
?    Manage all aspects of Pearson HipChat instance
?    Carry out detailed messaging forensic analysis in conjunction with
CISO group

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

?    5+ years experience in enterprise messaging. 3+ with Google
?    5+ years experience of Microsoft Active Directory
?    Detailed knowledge of Google Apps for work
?    Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2013
?    Detailed knowledge of Office 365
?    Detailed knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technology
?    Understanding of DNS, SMTP protocols
?    Understanding of load balancing technologies
?    Ability to work under pressure both within a team environment and as
an individual.
?    Experience of working in an operational/support environment that
follows ITIL methodology.
?    Experience in working in a (50,000+ mailbox) Global Enterprise
?    Experience of working with 3rd party API’s to perform efficient bulk
management operations
?    Experience of planning, design & management of large scale migrations
from different messaging platforms
?    Experience of implementing a change which had a large technological
change on end users
?    Experience of deploying devices related to messaging technologies
globally; Chromebox for meetings, messaging devices
?    Experience of global technology deployments and appropriate
architecture
