*Position:* *SCCM Consultant with End User Computing* *Location: Dublin, OH Duration: 12+ Months* Primary responsibilities include hands on development, standardization, and management of all client and server infrastructures, including hardware, software deployment, images, and patching standards • Interacts with client management to answer questions, problems and requests regarding complex system issues • Supports the design and configuration of complex system landscapes • Monitors and tunes appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance • Manages SCCM Operating System Deployment (OSD) implementation • Manages SCCM Software Update Point (SUP) • Troubleshoots problems to locate root cause and appropriate fixes in expedient fashion • Provides client support and technical issue resolution in support of other teams • Prepares standard statistical reports • Consults with third party vendors to obtain support, make recommendations, schedule work orders, and assist customer with their requests • Documents or revises user and technician training manuals and procedures • Packages, tests and deploys automated desktop application installations within a SMS and SCCM framework • Creates collections and advertisements for mass software distribution • Develops and executes enterprise workstation imaging and deployment methodologies • Develops and executes methodologies for increasing infrastructure optimization and standardization • Ensures correct installation, configuration, use, and maintenance of the Microsoft SCCM Platform • Assists in developing and maintaining group policy • Manages deployment of all patches, critical updates and service packs on a timely basis • Maintains ongoing communications with support teams regarding application issue resolution and general workstation management support • Works with vendors for support with resolving issues and developing/maintaining platform strategy • Coordinates applications release with the customer • Collaborates to maintain a library of system-supporting processes and procedural documentation • Monitors the health of systems, to include infrastructure, servers, and clients • Utilizing Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Virtual Machine Manager (VMM), and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and Microsoft Application Virtualization (APP-V). • Utilizing System Administration skills used in the Deployment of Operating System and Software Applications to the Enterprise. • Engineering aptitude is also required for the development, testing, and documentation of major and minor enhancements to the MDT/SCCM/APP-V product set for the greater service delivery organization. • Tier 2 & 3 Server Administration. • Resolving a wide range of system issues, troubleshoot software, security settings, hardware, and network issues, and address trouble tickets and service tasks. • Assisting with achieving automated delivery, optimum performance and utilization of standards through implementing appropriate technical solutions. • Supporting installation and configuration activities of systems, entities, and components. *Required Qualifications* • This position requires a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline and 8+ years of experience. Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree. Additional qualifications include: • Experienced customer support skills • Experience with Windows Active Directory and Group Policy Objects • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within MDT and SCCM • Experience with scripting (VB, PERL, PowerShell, etc.) • Test all patches in development environments before rolling out to production environments. • Coordinate with application owners to ensure that applications are working properly after patches, updates, and/or hotfixes are installed. • Maintain Microsoft WSUS for all applicable Microsoft software products including but not limited to multiple versions of Windows Server, Windows Client, and Microsoft Office. • Patches will be installed only during normal, predefined maintenance windows. • Comply with all required corporate change control and standard operating procedures. • Provide WSUS reports to IT management on a weekly schedule. • Ensure Overall exclusions (file and processes) receive a thorough review and changes (initial 2 days dedicated effort and then monitor) • Review threat logs and put exclusions for routine processes and files that are creating the unnecessary threat events.
