TITLE: PLSQL DEVELOPER Location:New Jersey Duration:6+ Months JOB DESCRIPTION: As part of the project to migrate several application databases from SQL Server to Oracle platform, the database developer will work on migration of all the Stored procedures, views and triggers from SQL Server to Oracle. The database developer will also assist in the migration of the DTS packages in SQL server to Datastage working on identifying and converting any underlying SQL code to PL/SQL. In addition, the developer will analyze and evaluate requests for reports and develop procedures to extract data from the various data sources and ad-hoc reporting. In addition, the developer will also create technical design documentation. * * *EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS: * Strong knowledge of relational databases with a strong emphasis on SQL. Strong Oracle (PL/SQL) programming experience required Working knowledge of T-SQL is required. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server technologies, including DTS Excellent understanding of RDBMS concepts. Experience on writing complex business logic in stored procedures and database triggers required. Strong background with SQL and query tuning. Experience with Crystal Reports highly desirable. Strong scripting ability required. Hands-on software troubleshooting experience. Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.
