Job Title: Technical Trainer Job Type: Contract Duration: 6 – 12 months *Location : Baltimore, MD* *Job Description* Reporting to the Training Services Lead, the Sr. Technical Trainer is responsible for conducting formal Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and Virtual (VILT) Instructor Led Training to new and advanced users of Business Intelligence (BI) tools, which include Business Objects and/or SAS EBI Enterprise Guide. Course participants include Fraud, Waste and Abuse Investigators, Analysts, Law Enforcement, Statisticians and Managers. The Senior Technical Trainer will guide participants as they explore and examine the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Integrated Data Repository (IDR). The course topics includes the exploration of Graphical User Interface (GUI), queries, syntax, reports, Medicare data relationships, semantic layer, code, error logs and best practices for in-database processing use-case scenarios. *Primary Responsibilities: * • Conduct Business Objects and/or SAS EBI two or three day ILT/VILT courses for up to 20 participants. Classes are conducted monthly in Baltimore, MD and travel is required monthly to satellite sites across the United States. Virtual classes are delivered via Adobe Connect/WebEx • Conduct introductory webinars for End Users prior to the three-day BO/SAS course • Conduct continuing education webinars during monthly forums to highlight and/or introduce best practices and functionality as well as address common End User pain points and problems • Articulate, simplify, and communicate complex business and technical functions to audiences with different levels of expertise • Collaborate directly with End-Users, client, and project team to develop end-user Business Objects/SAS training and reference materials • Perform pre training activities to include testing, ensuring training materials and use-case scenarios are accurate and up to date • Incorporate post training Level 1 and Level 2 course evaluation feedback into future course delivery • Complete training reports for each class session • Train, coach and mentor other project and training team members • Job may require travel up to 50% *Required Qualifications: * •* 5+ years of experience in leading and delivering technology and software training, both ILT and VILT classroom formats * • Certified Trainer from organizations such as Association for Talent Development (formerly ASTD) International Federation of Training and Development Organization, Bob Pike, Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), United States Distance Learning Association •* 2+ years of experience with Business Intelligence (BI) and/or Analytics software platforms such as Business Objects and SAS, data warehousing, reporting and analytics architectures, portals, as well as scorecards and dashboards. * • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Suite, MS Word, Power Point, Excel, Project, and SharePoint • Must be willing to travel up to 50% *Preferred Qualifications: * • Experience with BI data, specifically Medicare/Medicaid Systems and Fraud/Waste/Abuse (FWA) • Experience with BI Tools such as SPS, Cognos, Microstrategy, SAS, Stars, Data Probe Careers with Optum.
