Job Title: Sr. QA Analyst with Financial Services Exp. Duration: 6+ month duration Location: St. Cloud Minnesota (locals only) Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Work collaboratively with team members throughout the organization to obtain information needed to produce deliverables 2. Responsible for creating, either independently or collaboratively, test strategies for major and minor application releases. 3. Responsible for creating, either independently or collaboratively, the overall test plan and execution of the plan. 4. Responsible for collecting available test cases for regression and system testing and creation of new test cases where none exist. 5. Responsible for executing tests in accordance with the test strategy. 6. Required to perform database tests of objects and data using SQL with Toad in an Oracle environment 7. Responsible for updating defect tracking tools and keeping test status current. 8. Responsible for setting up and executing performance tests using Load runner or other performance testing tools 9. Expected to work well with general direction and complete assigned tasks with minimal oversight from the program/project leadership team. Skills and Other Requirements 1. At least 5-8 years of progressively responsible experience in IT on multiple platforms, operating systems, and software 2. Minimum 5 years experience as a QA Analyst 3. Knowledge of general IT tools, processes and systems used in the Financial Services or Banking industry. 4. General business understanding of the Financial Services industry is helpful. 5. Must posses the understanding and ability to conduct performance tests using Load runner or other performance testing tools 6. Four-year university degree or college diploma in the field of Computer Science, Engineering, or a directly related field 7. Proficiency with various Technical tools including Toad (SQL), Quality Center, load/performance testing tools 8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and other business/financial applications 9. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required 10. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with technical, non-technical and executive personnel orally and in writing 11. Highly self-motivated and directed, able to work with minimal supervision 12. Strong customer service orientation 13. QA certification a plus Project details: Candidate will be working on a conversion project migrating data from one application version to another. This will also include upgrading specific applications to accommodate the conversion and user requirements.
