Weekends, overtime, on-call? Is the work schedule flexible? Does the resource need to be on-site for a specified number of days:*Typical work schedule of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Occasionally, weekend work for code deployment Work schedule is flexible only on a need basis. Resource need to be onsite initially for a few weeks for learning. After that, once a day (Wednesday) onsite and rest of the week may be allowed to work from home. *Additional Job Details:* We are looking for an experienced developer with exceptional skills in SQL Server Technologies, SQL, SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, SSDT etc. Candidate must have a solid background in application development and should be a quick learner to understand and figure out the complicated integrations and interlocks between applications working with others. Experience with these technical skills is preferred: C# .Net, ASP.Net, Visual Studio 2012 or later, XML, XSLT, java script, jQuery, HTML 4 or later and objected oriented design. Candidate will provide technical design, development and delivery of new requirements and provide application level architectural recommendations and optimizations across environments to meet our business needs. Candidate should be an excellent team player, yet capable of working independently, highly motivated, goal-oriented individual and able to manage multiple moderate, high budget projects at once. Candidate will work with limited direction and under the general supervision of the Application Development Manager. Responsibilities: - Researches, analyzes, designs, and develops software based on specifications provided, either individually or working with a team of other developers. - Develops high availability and highly scalable applications which will be used by both internal and external customers. - Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of application programming processes and procedures to the completion of complex assignments. - Works closely with the development team to plan ongoing feature development, provide production support and evaluate and recommend Hardware and Software solutions to improve performance - Works with Business Users and Business Analysts to determine software requirements and system impacts - Generates technical documentation according to Dell’s systems standards, policies and procedures - Mentors junior developers in industry best practices, procedures, and concepts and follows the already established standards, policies and procedures - Investigates new technologies and techniques and researches ongoing industry developments - Works on abstract and complex problems requiring evaluations and analysis of existing applications Required Skills: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent professional experience. - A minimum of 8-10 total years of software development experience, with at least 5 years of enterprise level application development, preferably with an international interaction with team members - Extensive experience with designing database applications using relational and object-oriented design methodology, T-SQL, optimization, indexing, and performance analysis. - SQL Server 2008 , preferably 2012 with experience in XML, .NET CLR Stored procedures and functions, performance tuning and improvement tools - Visual Studio (TFS) 2012 or later - SQL performance tuning experience - Project and task oriented with a focus on details. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Demonstrated ability to lead projects or offer programming solutions at an advanced level. - Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of application programming and analysis.
