*Job Title: F5/Load balancing Resource
Location: Hartford, CT
Duration: Contract 6+ months*

Responsibilities:
Manage existing F5 devices and environment.  Monitory logs for problems and
completions and take action where needed
Review current system configurations and present enhancement
recommendations; look for opportunities to improve performance, reliability
and efficiency
Assist with scheduling and planning for new F5 devices and other vendor
product planning and implementation
Participate in Change Control  activities and processes
Review service call data and advise on trends and improvement
opportunities. Assist in producing reports
Assist in Level 3 problem determination and resolution

Required Skills:
2-3 years’ experience with server load balancing technology, including
design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance in an
enterprise production environment. *
*Experience with F5 products that support load balancing (ASM, LTM, GTM) is
required.
Strong knowledge of Web Servers and proxies, knowledge of HTTP and HTTPS
protocol.
Exposure and understanding of the interactions that occur between a load
balancer and stateful inspection firewall is required.
Knowledge of UNIX/Wintel systems administration (preferably in an F5
environment), including BSD and Linux strongly preferred.
Knowledge of scripting languages is desirable.*
