*Skill set:- WebSphere Admin* *Exp required:- 5 to 7 years* *Location:- Raleigh, NC Duration:- 12 months.* *Start Date:- ASAP* *Tasks and responsibilities* • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related discipline), or equivalent experience • 5+ years of experience, including design and advanced trouble-shooting skills, of major web and application tier software offerings. WebSphere Application Server versions 6, 7, 8 and 8.5 as well as Apache/IHS on UNIX and Linux platforms a strong plus. • 5+ years of “hands-on” installation, configuration and administration of WebSphere Application Server and Apache/IHS. Ability to script using Jython, Korn Shell, Perl, a plus. • In-depth knowledge of web systems end to end. Competency in web/application tier system software and hardware and working knowledge of all application components, such as WebSphere MQ, RDBMS’s, LDAP is required. • Good working knowledge of the capabilities of current state network devices, particularly load-balancers, DNS and hardware encryption devices. Ability to communicate w/ network personnel in their own language is a must for specifying the use and configuration of these devices. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential. • Strong skills in operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows Server) configuration and maintenance. • Past software engineering or application development experience a strong plus.
