POSITION: Sr. Linux Systems Engineer LOCATION: CHICAGO DOWNTOWN ,IL(LOCAL)
DURATION: long term contract *JOB DESCRIPTION:* Red Hat admin/engineering experience within an enterprise environment. *Essential Functions…….* - Create technical designs, implement, and support the enterprise environments. - Assist with the effort to develop and implement efforts to bring automation into the environment. - Work closely with the business and IT to develop high performing, efficient, cost effective, and operationally supportable solutions that meet the businesses complex requirements. - Work to identify opportunities for improvement within the environment, both technical and operational, along with plans to capture those benefits. - Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.. - Assists in managing the server area including maintenance (patching, Operating System upgrades, etc), managing incidents, root cause analysis and change control processes - Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports. - Works closely with peer IT, security, operations and business teams to deliver infrastructure services necessary for deployment of Enterprise applications (e.g. SAP, JDA, HANA, Manhattan) throughout the company. - Collaborate with other members of the Engineering organization to create and maintain standards and operating procedures, and provide information as appropriate to manager, project manager, and various departments within the Company. - Participate in industry forums, trade shows and seminars as appropriate; Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures to keep abreast of latest trends in industry. *Job Requirements:* - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience required. - Minimum 8+ years of IT experience with expert level experience in Red Hat Linux, support and administration. - 3+ years’ experience providing design and architect services for a Red Hat Linux based infrastructure. - Scripting skills with Python, PowerShell, or PowerCLI a plus. - Proven experience and ability to manage problem resolutions of complex or intermittent issues in a multi-vendor, integrated enterprise environment. - Skilled and comfortable with tackling complex challenges, either in leading the troubleshooting effort or advising others. - Experience with Linux server security and hardening servers - Experience with Java application server environments including JBoss and Tomcat a plus - Demonstrates poise and professionalism while working under pressure. - Strong Communications (written and verbal), customer focus and leadership skills required. - Strong team player with proven experience and ability to collaborate internally among teams and externally among application and business units. - Flawless ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. - Extremely self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. - Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. - Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. *Thanks and Regards,* *Ishant* Sr. IT Recruiter *Email*: *ish...@technocraftsol.com <ish...@technocraftsol.com>* *Contact*: *614-664-7813* *Yahoo ID / Gmail ID*: *ishanttechnocraft* *Website*: www.technocraftsol.com *Note: Technocraft Solutions LLC works with Direct Client’s and Preferred Vendors Nationwide. * *Your confirmation would means that you understand the level of Technocraft Solutions LLC association for the mentioned project and will not approach Technocraft Solutions LLC Client directly* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Projects" group.
