Description



The Voice & Network Engineer is responsible for the operations of network
and telecommunication services for the enterprise which includes a network
of 100+ distributed branch offices in North America.



Team member and point of contact for all voice related systems in the
organization. This will include Cisco VoIP and PBX systems, Voice Mail,
Cisco Call Management Servers, CTI, Call Recording, IVR, Cell Phones, PDAs
, video and Carrier Services. This role will support multiple Telephony
systems in separate locations and Contact Centers. Candidate needs to have
strong skills in Cisco’s UCCE Call Center applications and IVR routing.



Responsibilities

·         Supports technical team responsible for providing voice and data
services and technologies to the enterprise in a multi-site environment.

·         Coordinates with other departments to understand and meet their
requirements. Translates customer needs into business solutions.

·         Evaluates, plans and implements new technologies as appropriate
to meet business needs.

·         Establishes metrics and operating plans for network engineering.

·         Participates in overseeing Contact / Call Center technologies and
redundancy / backup of Call Manager configurations and emergency plans to
deal with catastrophic events.

·         Demonstrates independent judgment and critical decision-making
skills.

·                     Ability to work in a fast paced environment with
track record of managing to established deadlines.



Qualifications

·         5+ years hands-on experience in one or more of data network
design (minimally utilizing Cisco router/switches, TCP/IP, IPX) and
implementation in a highly complex, multi-site, client server environment.

·         3+ years’ hands-on experience with current and legacy voice, data
and video technologies to include Unified Communications, video
conferencing, audio conferencing, wireless networking, cell phones, and
telephone switch operations. (VoIP, PBX, Centrex, WATS, ACD, IVR, voice
messaging, data/voice/video integration, network systems, traffic
engineering).

·         In-depth understanding of Cisco Routers and Switches, including:
1800, 2600, 2800, 3750, 7200, 4000, 6500, ASA, TACACS.

·         In-depth experience with Syslog, QoS, VoIP, EIGRP, BGP, OSI, HA,
MPLS, STP, GRE, HSRP, TCP/IP, Cisco Wireless, NetFlow, ACL, policy routing,
MGCP, SIP.

·         Expert Level Knowledge of Content Delivery, Bluecoat, WireShark,
Packet Analysis, SolarWinds.

·         Experience in configuring and verifying Quality of Service (QoS)
in a WAN environment.

·         Strong incident and problem management experience, including
customer interface.

·         Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

·         Demonstrated ability to simultaneously and successfully handle
multiple, disparate projects.

·         Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.

·         Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a
high-pressure environment.

·         Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

·         Team player.



Education

·         Bachelors or equivalent work experience.

·         Technical certifications in applicable technologies preferred.
