Overview:
As a member of the performance team, your primary responsibility will be to
analyze load testing results provided by the QA team. Once poorly
performing transactions have been identified, you must perform the needed
root cause analysis. Once the root cause of a poorly performing transaction
has been clearly identified, you must coordinate with the responsible
development team or IT technical resource to carry the issue through to
resolution. Good troubleshooting and debugging skills are a must. Ability
to clearly articulate the root cause of performance issues, and explain them
to a group are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
* Use code profilers, operating system monitors, intelligently designed
tests, and common sense to identify performance and scalability bottlenecks
* Recommend solutions and work closely with the client's team on
resolution
* Tune applications, JVM, web/application server, database, and operating
system for optimal performance
* Use capacity planning techniques to determine the load that a
particular deployment can handle
* Serve as a champion for performance and scalability and educate our
clients about performance related issues and best practices
* Participate in large-scale business application architecture and design
efforts by ensuring that performance considerations have been satisfactorily
addressed
* Create the performance test plan, prepare the test environment and
write test scripts that simulate realistic user behavior and concurrency
* Provide technical direction and leadership in the performance related
matters on each project
* Run performance, scalability and stability tests watching for and
resolving potential problems
Required Qualifications:
* MS in Computer Science or a related field with 4+ years of software
technology experience OR
* BS in Computer Science or a related field with 8+ years of software
technology experience
* 3+ years of experience in software technology consulting
* 2+ years of white-box software testing experience and good
understanding of QA processes and methodology
* 2+ years of enterprise software performance and scalability analysis
and tuning experience
* Very strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
* Hands-on experience with industry standard load testing and profiling
tools such as JProfiler, YourKit, Introscope, Avicode, etc..
* Exceptional customer-facing skills, including:
* Communication/Presentation skills
* Interpersonal/social skills
* Overall Professionalism
* 3+ years of hands-on experience working with most of the following:
* Java and .NET technologies
* Portal and Content/Document Management applications
* Web/Application Servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, etc.)
* Microsoft SharePoint
* Relational Database Technologies (Oracle, SQLServer)
* Unix and Windows system administration
