Network Security Consultant Positions: 5 6 month Contract in Ashburn, VA ZIP Code 22093 (ASHBURN, Virginia) Start Date 12-06-2010 End Date 06-06-2011 Shifts available and must be available for both are First shift: 9AM-6PM; Third Shift: Midnight-9AM Client is searching for Network Security Consultants to support and troubleshoot security and/or firewalls for client's customer systems. *REQUIRED SKILLS: * -Strong security mindset and are comfortable with working in UNIX-based environments are including Sun Solaris, Nokia, Cisco and Linux. -Experience with Checkpoint. -Good knowledge of networking (TCP/IP). -Capable and willing to acquire in-depth knowledge of network- and host security technologies and products (such as firewalls, Network IDS, scanners) and continuously improve these skills. -Holds CCNA or CCSA or any other Cisco Certifications -Good communication skills, both via e-mail and telephone. -Follows strict procedures and are disciplined in installation, documentation, event handling and change control. -Willing to work shifts. Job description o Day-to-day security management of customer systems. He/she needs to ensure the security posture of the customers and stays on top of recent security threats and developments, due to trainings on support VzB products. o Main tasks consist of: Monitor and manage customer devices and respond to intrusion and health / availability alerts, troubleshoot and respond to informational requests. Perform change requests to the customers’ infrastructure. Perform regular checks on managed customer devices.
