*12 Months Contract * *Peoria, IL * Mainframe programmer to join Marketing and Demand Management team. Based on design requirements to be created by Marketing and Demand Management team, individual must develop, code, test and support various mainframe programs. Working on existing system to provide enhancements and new applications. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of computer application development or support experience in Mainframe technology with strong Cobol, JCL, CICS and DB2 knowledge; basic IMS knowledge; Knowledge of Quikjob Good Communications skills, analytics skills in determining root cause/impact analysis and ability to work well with others in a business setting including users. Ability to provide off-shift and weekend application support functions. Computer-related or Engineering-related four year College or University Degree (or equivalent). Knowledge of the latest Mainframe technology in programming languages, computing software and current development processes and tools. RESPONSIBILITIES: Designing developing, and implementing processes, or process improvements, to aid in development and support. Analyzing programs and their dependencies to determine impact and end to end process flow.
