Description Project Server Resource, 3-6 months ** Need to have Project Server and Portfolio Server experience at least 3-4 years. ** They need a resource that has enough experience to write a manual on how to manage it and best practices in their environment. ** ** ** Examples of the types of support issues the resource will : ** 1. They recently had to restore service as someone broke PS and they did not know who/how. They need to set boundaries on what is appropriate to modify and what is not so this does not happen in the future. ** 2. Time sheets sometimes will not display and they do not know why. ** 3. Doing the bare minimum now with the box and services and want to do more, plus want the environment to be tuned properly and know that it is not now. ** 4. Consultants now are doing things that if it was operating better they may not have to do work-arounds, such as writing C# code to do specialized tasks. ** 5. Need someone to write best practices, they have no real documented procedures and are preparing for an upgrade in the next 2 years. ** Immediate need around MS Project Server resource. Need for a high level experienced MS Project Server resource. They need to be able to look at the existing infrastructure, address the challenges they are dealing with, leveraging their expertise. Challenge: client is responsible for hardware, while other groups are responsible for DBs and applications. ** WSF + Project Server 2007 troubleshooting is complicated because SharePoints admins are outside of this group and make changes that the team can't see; assumption is that issue exists at hardware and winds up in Infrastructures hands. Need someone to own the problem and resolve it across the business lines; someone who can explain, based on their own experience, how to address these "reported problems".
