- Hours: General office hours (8-5). Will require off hours work. For off
hours support, overtime may be approved OR planned time off may be granted.

- Ramp up: Will work closely with the current system administrator but will
need to come up to speed right away in understanding our environments, key
partners, and change/fix protocol in order to independently support the
application.



Position Description:  Experience Level: 4 year degree plus 10 or more years
experience.

We are looking for an experienced (at least 5 years) senior Peoplesoft
system administrator to work closely with a partner system administrator.



*The candidate must have extensive...*

*- Experience administering a highly available, multi-server peoplesoft
environment on a production support capacity.*

*- Experience with PeopleSoft Client, PeopleTools, App Server, BEA
WebLogic/Tuxedo/Jolt, Process Schedulers, Change Assistant, App Designer,
Data Mover, Integration Broker, Crystal Enterprise.*

*- Knowledge of PeopleSoft CRM version 8.8 (support, field services) as well
as peopletools 8.4x, and peoplesoft security (roles and permission lists).*

*- PeopleSoft product installation and upgrade, application server
administration, monitoring and tuning of PeopleSoft performance.*

*- Installation and test PeopleSoft patches, bundles, and service packs, and
migration of projects to production.*

- Experience with oracle 9i and 10g as well as UNIX and Windows 2003 admin
experience is desired.

The application to be administered:

The ServiceView application is a Peoplesoft 8.8 CRM Peoplesoft application,
now in production for over 1.5 years. There are approximately 350 users on
the application. Users reside in 3 primary locations: Minneapolis, MN, San
Francisco and Los Angeles, CA. In 2007, we expect user growth to 1,000.



 Responsibilities:

- The person we bring in will be required to support the ServiceView
application in production and test - Support production environments and
events (outages and deploys) during regular working hours and specified off
hours.

- Support all test environments (follows agreed protocol and release notes).




The production infrastructure includes: 3 NT based web servers, 3 NT based
application servers, 1 primary oracle 9i database/server, 1 reports oracle
9i database server, 1 unix based web server supporting Integration Broker, 1
unix based application server supporting Integration Broker. The webservers
are load balanced with an F5 in front of them.



Additional environments to support:

- test environments: DEV, SIT, UAT, and PFIX

- a business continuity environment (BCP)



Future:

- Oracle database to be upgraded to 10g.

- Peopletools upgrade to be upgraded.

- Possible redesign for Integration Broker.
