Job Description:
Works with professionals in other disciplines to implement and integrate
effective end user computer applications across multiple business areas.
Proposes project plans and designs to ensure projects are completed within
time committed.
Complies with area policies, coding standards, and best practices.
Responsible for initial testing of own changes and enhancements. Ability to
work independently. Consults with business area management regarding
potential application alternatives for performance or capacity issues.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience with application development using Microsoft Visual
Basic 6
• 1+ years of experience with application development using Microsoft VB.NET
• 5+ years of experience with ADO
• 5+ years of experience with writing SQL from scratch (any relational
database)
• 2+ years of experience with version control software (Visual SourceSafe or
equivalent)
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Experience with OO design patterns
Responsibilities will include:
• Interacts with assigned customer area for operational and system issues
• Assists Project Manager/Lead in the development effort for assigned
projects
• Input on developing efficient business processes
• Training assistance to end users on using new functions
• Resolution of technical or performance issues
• Provide explanations regarding current and potential functionality
It would beneficial if the resource had experience with the following:
-Futures industry operations
-Crystal Reports 9 or higher
-IBM DB2
-SOAP Toolkit
