Position: WebSphere Admin Location: NYC Client: Banking No of Positions: 2 Duration: 6m+ Start: Immediate Rate: 440/day C2C (all inclusive) OR DOE. Principal Responsibilities: . Develop scripts to automate data collection during test execution on WebSphere application. . Execute test cycles for operational readiness including load, performance, durability. . Document operational readiness test results by writing technical reports and execution. . Identify and escalate risks uncovered during testing and suggest remediation actions. . Recommend changes to configuration parameters based on operational readiness. . Support tools for use in performance management and analysis.(e.g. ITCAM) . Support other Web Technology Area functions in day to day tasks and emergencies. . Coordinate test schedules with the performance test group(PTG), other Infrastructure teams. . Perform other duties as assigned or requested. Experience: . 5+ years of exp. in an infrastructure area administering J2EE application analysis role. . Proficient in Jython scripting for WAS component automation Windows Scripting Perl and Unix Shell Scripting . Additional experience supporting J2EE and .Net applications . Administration of J2EE application servers in general, and IBM WebSphere. . Understanding of impact that security components ( e.g. SSL, Reverse... readiness) . J2EE application server monitoring using tools such as TPV and ITCAM Knowledge and Skills Required: . Excellent Verbal and written communication skills . Ability to collaborate with other departments . Ability to summarize findings for review by non-technical stakeholders . Ability to tune and configure J2EE application servers . Ability to tune and configure IIS and .NET servers . Understanding and performance management applicable to J2EE application servers . Understanding of J2EE application server configuration . Understanding of J2EE applications and their interactions with infrastructure component o IBM MQ Series Messaging o Relational Databases(Oracle, Sybase, and IBM DB2/UDB) o Authentication Servers (IBM TAM, ClearTrust, RSA SecurID) Available to work "off hours" as need There will be a detailed background check if selected including education and employment history (10 years).
