Role: Network Engineer (HA Experience)

Duration: 6 months

Location: Reston, VA





*Network Engineer (HA experience) High Availability*



 The candidate must meet the following needs:



- Experience designing and deploying high-performance, low-latency LANs and
WANs with complex multicast requirements , Brocade experience preferred….a
strong CCIE or CCNP might do well. A Cisco Engineer that BRC can train
might be good.



- Expert knowledge of various routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, ISIS,
mpBGP) in a mixed platform environment



- Experience with Application Load Balancing and performance monitoring -
knowledge of NetScout, Wireshark packet capture platforms



- ACL creation, troubleshooting and investigation



 - Knowledge of and experience with multiple network technology vendors -
Experience migrating existing environments to upgraded technology without
downtime



- Performance analysis and optimization



- Perform troubleshooting and analysis of connectivity and bandwidth issues



- Maintain configuration files and documentation for all network
infrastructure



- Ability to adapt to dynamic responsibilities, work effectively with
limited information to seek out the necessary resources to complete the
task at hand, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment



- Act as the primary point of contact for all system outages, inquiries and
requests, and will support the business operations with prompt, effective
problem resolution



- Excellent planning skills to efficiently and effectively scope,
prioritize and develop required infrastructure updates - Perform other
duties as assigned



Qualifications:

-Four year college degree in Computer Science / Management Information
Systems or a computer related degree



- Minimum 5-10 years experience deploying switches, routers, firewalls, and
log analysis.



- Prior in-depth experience with Brocade Network Advisor, Solarwinds Orion,
Splunk Operation Intelligence



Skills:



- Advanced skills in analysis of packet loss and latency



 - Log correlation and symptom analysis



- Solid reporting in root cause analysis and packet capture



 - Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information. Hours: 8
AM-5 PM M-F



- Must be able to work nights, holidays and weekends during project
installations if needed.



- Must have the ability to travel to all owned facilities for deployments,
trainings, and investigation.



- Must work on-call and ready-to-work
