*Solution Architect (team)ODM Architecture / Solution Architecture * top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? _Architect solutions for key business initiatives ensuring alignment with future state analytics architecture vision _Work closely with the project teams as outlined in the SDLC engagement model to provide guidance in implementing solutions at various stages of projects _Engage constructively with project teams to support project objectives through the application of sound architectural principles _Develop and validate that the proposed solution architecture supports the stated & implied business requirements of the project _Review technical team deliverables for compliance with architecture standards and guidelines _Adopt innovative architectural approaches to leverage in-house data integration capabilities consistent with architectural goals of the enterprise _Create architectural designs for different stakeholders that provide a conceptual definition of the information processing needs for the delivery project *tools/skills: * - Relation DB (Teradata) - ETL (DataStage) - Unix - MS Office - Visio - Enterprise Architect skills/attributes: _*Minimum 10 years in the IT profession* _Minimum 5 years of experience creating DM / DW architectures (minimum of 5 terabytes) _Experience with various data intake, staging and integration methods and tools _Experience building and/or delivering against long-term, strategic technology roadmaps _Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas (both verbally and in writing) to executives and technologists _Ability to consult with business and technology representatives and to negotiate satisfactory outcomes for all _Success leading multiple projects through the entire SDLC _Excellent facilitation, verbal, and written communication skills _High accountability with a demonstrated ability to deliver _Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience *skills/attributes - nice to have* _Experience architecting Analytic solutions using Big Data technologies (i.e. Hadoop Stack, NoSQL DBs) _Experience with Java development _Experience with integration methodologies and tools _Experience with Meta Data tools and techniques _Experience with data quality and data profiling tools We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team of Solution Architects in Optum Data Management in Eden Prairie, MN.
