Title -- Statistical Analysis Location -- Indianapolis, IN Duration -- 1 year Rate -- $40/hr Required skills:- Required Skill Set(s) and Years of Experience (please include technologies and skills as well as years of experience required): · Degree or experience in bio-statistics, familiar with some statistical programming language such as Matlab, R, or SAS, data mining, statistical analysis · Require experience in GWAS (Genome-Wide Association Studies) · Proven hands-on developing cross platform distributed applications using LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl), Oracle, and Java or C#/.NET platforms · 5+ years of experience in working in Unix/Linux environment including cluster-computing. · Developing/deploying applications in cloud-computing is a huge plus. · IT workflow process knowledge, including systems development lifecycle, service delivery, and support experience. · Familiarity with Software Quality Assurance methods and techniques · Effective communication skills · Excellent self-management skills · Solution delivery Lifecycle experience within an Agile, XP or Critical Chain environment · The candidate will also have to understand the underlying biology and the content of the databases to be integrated. Software Tools: · MS Word, Competent · MS Excel, Competent · Windows XP, Competent Desired Skill Set(s): · Experience in using Spotfire and programming against Spotfire APIs, or other visualization platforms · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · Prior work experience in regulated environment is a huge plus, as would life sciences industry · Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent field preferred.
