Title:  BigFix Applet Dev

Duration:  6 months

Location: Orlando, FL

 

Description 
We are looking for highly technical BigFix Applet developer and
administrators. In our IT infrastructure management BigFix applets have many
use for example patch/ software wrapper, script to extract information,
automate IT infrastructure management, task automation, Tools integration
etc. 

Few key responsibilities include 
1. Applet design and lifecycle management 
2. Modify and recycle existing scripts and applets 
3. Business requirement gathering and solution design 
4. Testing 
5. Write custom scripts to automate tasks or gather environment data 
6. Actively participate as a resolution owner to Incident Management,
Request Management, Problem Management and Change Management 
7. Assist wider team performing in level 2/1 capacity 
Prerequisites 
1. Strong knowledge of IBM Tivoli Endpoint Manager V8.2 and add-on
components. 
2. Strong knowledge of Relevance language and Action Scripts. 
3. Working knowledge of developing TEM Analysis and Tasks. 
4. Working knowledge of operating system deployment and administration in
Windows, UNIX, and Linux.. 
5. Working knowledge of TCP/IP, network topology and troubleshooting. 
6. Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server V2005 and above. 
7. Basic knowledge of LDAP including Windows Active Directory. 
8. Working knowledge of unattended installation methods for software
products. 
9. Working knowledge of Inventory Management, software distribution, and
Patch Management 
10. Working knowledge developing scripts to gather Software/Firmware
Inventory from clients 
Recommended Prerequisite(s) 
1. Working knowledge of SOAP and Session Relevance. 
2. Basic knowledge of IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager for OS Deployment. 
3. Working knowledge of general security concepts and standard security
configurations. 
4. Working knowledge of scripting languages, query languages and XML.. 
5. Should be able to develop custom deployment scripts (VBS, batch, shell
scripting etc...) 
6. Basic knowledge of ITIL. 
Candidates can be considered 
Highly motivated candidates having 10+ years of working experience in
software packaging and Distribution with following traits can be considered.
Such candidates may be going through multiple rounds of evaluations. 
1. More than 10years L3 working experience with software packaging and
distribution (e.g. Marimba/ SMS/ SCCM/ APT etc. 
2. Detail understanding and working knowledge of Software library and
packages (e.g. MSI) 
3. Self-motivated and willing to learn new SW packaging technologies 
4. Proficient in a scripting language (e.g. VB, PERL, VC++) 
5. Developed automation scripts for large enterprise running multiple
operating systems 
6. Understanding of Tivoli Endpoint Manager framework 
7. Working experience with standard network protocols 
8. Database knowledge 
9. Understanding of Discovery and dependency mapping 
Experience & Education 
. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (or equivalent) from an
accredited University 
. L3 : 7+ years of experience in Patch Management/ Software Packaging &
Distribution 
. Awareness of Agile and Water fall framework 
. ITIL experience/ certification desired
