·         Providing technical and data leadership to the application
development group, IT and the enterprise

·         Design database solutions to satisfy application (business
and technical) requirements by understanding the current database
limitations

·         Participate in analysis and requirements gathering sessions

·         Establish data strategy and guidelines

·         Selection of capabilities and solutions to meet business
information needs

·         Review data architectural issues and provide solutions to improve
business efficiencies

*Project Technical Skills:*

·         DB2 (legacy platform on mainframe)

·         Dimensional / Data Modeling (Logical and Physical)

·         Infomatica (for ETL design)

·         Data Governance (Data Dictionary)

·         Insurance Domain Knowledge

·         COGEN policy processing system knowledge preferably

·         Performance (improvements to maintain performance)

·         Business Objects - optional

·         Data Quality

·         IBM iSAS e77 - optional

·         Agile and iterative development methodology

·         Working with offshore/onshore delivery model

·         Comprehensive SDLC experience

·         Process oriented and metrics based project tracking

*Interpersonal and Leadership Skills: *

·         Strong decision-making skills, and an understanding of project
risks/issues

·         Operate independently given direction, set direction and bring
ideas and solutions to issues raised

·         Good interaction with technical teams, IT and business owners

·         Demonstrate integrity and maturity, creativity and a constructive
approach to challenges
