Database Administrator Location : Reston VA Duration : 6+ Months *JOB INFORMATION* Design, structure, and maintain one or more discrete databases used by business units or infrastructure units. Test, quality control, and performance tune data to ensure its integrity and reliability. Confer with business unit and technical staff regarding extracting data for particular reports. Monitor or accomplish refreshing of data and installation and testing of new releases or patches of database software. *Qualifications * EDUCATION •Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required MINIMUM EXPERIENCE •6+ years of related experience *SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS * •Experience in database design in a multi-terabyte Data Warehouse environment and administration of Oracle OLTP and data warehouse databases in a UNIX environment. •Knowledge of Oracle performance tuning techniques, UNIX shell scripting and file management, SQL and PL/SQL development, and ETL tools and ETL design. •Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools. •Experience in modeling initiatives (object, logical), data analysis and application of corporate standards. •Experience in analyzing and resolving, or recommending solutions to highly complex technical problems such as performance issues, integration of object-oriented relational database technology, data quality issues. •Excellent project management, oral and written communication, negotiation, presentation and influencing skills. -- *Thanks,* *Naresh Kumar .
