Java Consultant Location : Boston MA Duration : 1 year+ Phone than a face to face interview. (We do not cover face to face interviews) *Description : * This person needs to come from a solid educational background, good comm skills, and experience building a new product with end to end development - not someone that maintains current software. They will be building a platform that all of the new applications that they are offering will be built on. They will be building this platform in the Cloud. Cloud experience is desired but not required. The same for the database experience - NoSQL is desired but MySQL will do. This person must have a Linux background. Also, smaller company developers and eCommerce background will be shoe ins. *Must have skills:* • 5+ years of *Java development* experience; 3 + years of J2EE programming experience, including *Servlets, JSP, Web services, Spring* • *NoSQL* technologies (*MySQ*L will do ) • Strong *Unix, Linux skills* • Continuous integration technologies such as *Jenkins, Bamboo* • Ability to learn quickly and stay current with new technologies • Experience working in an *Agile/Scrum* development environment • Familiarity with messaging frameworks such as *RabbitMQ* • Ability to work seamlessly as part of a multi-site, multicultural development team • Strong team player with excellent written and verbal skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment • Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent Preferred bonus skills: • Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent • Cassandra, MongoDB, Elastic search development and scaling experience • Experience with Drools, Activiti • Experience with using LDAP, Shibboleth, Spring security • Experience with caching technologies (Terracotta, Hazelcast, Ehcache or equivalent) • Experience with templating frameworks (Jasper, Freemarker, Velocity) • Cloud services experience (AWS, Rackspace, etc.) including auto-scaling and runtime automation Experience with the Atlassian Software Development and Collaboration Tools (Jira, Confluence) -- *Thanks,* *Naresh Kumar .
