Position Description
We are looking for a highly effective Application Architect to join our
team. This person will be required to participate in the overall strategy,
analysis, design and implementation of our clients’ initiatives. This
individual will develop and communicate the detailed technology architecture
and implementation strategy for a solution to the client and project team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Application Architect will be expected to:
Lead large-scale business application design efforts
Develop and maintain application architectures for various business
functional areas
Provide oversight on the architecture and design of applications
Participates in assignments relating to the development of
conceptual and logical architectures
Provide guidance when product selections are needed to assure sound
integration
Independently interact at the director-level in client organizations
Demonstrate expertise with a broad set of development
tools/technologies
Have a firm understanding of design patterns and technical
architecture design
Provide ideal solutions on server/network topologies, caching
mechanisms, and data persistence based on the clients’ needs
Resolve integration and interfacing issues between various back-end
systems
Optimize application performance and scalability
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
experience in application architecture / enterprise architecture, systems
integration and development, package implementation, relational databases,
with knowledge of multiple technologies and interactive design
Expertise in multiple technology platforms/languages: Spring,
Java/J2EE, Websphere, Weblogic, XML, Ajax, SOAP, MVC patterns, RDBMS
Packaged e-commerce, web content management, or PPM software
experience desired dddd
Ability to define, create, and complete a technical task without
guidance
Experience in full lifecycle software development processes and
methods
Highly effective communication skills with client-facing and
executive level management
Ability to articulate a vision of the total solution
