*Project Location* *Washington, DC* *Duration* *6+ Months Contract* *Interview Mode: Phone + F2F* *Visa: USC* *Job Description:* · Need 8-10 years approx overall. · Must have certifications like MCSE or MCSA or /and VM ware or virtualization and/or Cisco Certs. LAN Administrator position will be responsible for the maintenance of Windows Servers; troubleshooting problems that arise in the day to day operation of the servers and the applications that run on the servers; Investigating new software and hardware; documenting any changes to the Windows systems; working on special projects that involve servers or workstations. *Roles and Responsibilities:* · Maintaining Windows Servers with system patches · Maintaining VMware Version 6 · Ensuring that tape backups are working correctly · Ensuring that the Servers are in SOX compliance · Investigating new software and hardware and implementing · Documenting changes to the Windows Systems · Configuration of CISCO 6500 switch · Proven ability to design, configure and work both heterogeneous and homogeneous network configurations Knowledge, *Skills and Abilities:* · Experience in design, troubleshooting and tuning of Microsoft Active Directory networks. A good understanding of Windows Group Policy and DISA STIGS. · Proven ability to design, configure and work both heterogeneous and homogeneous network configurations · Experience in setting up and running VMware platforms to host Windows operating systems. · Experience in Managing and running a SAN platform to host Windows 2012 operating systems. · Experience in installation, configuration and performance tuning of SQL Databases Proven ability to design, configure and work with both heterogeneous and homogeneous network configurations. · Experience in the design and configuration of the latest software release levels of Microsoft Windows operating systems and third party products. · Performing proof of concept and product evaluations for different Operating Systems and third party products. · Must be a self-starter capable of working individually with minimal oversight and guidance. *Education and Experience:* · Desired Professional Certification: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or prefer Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) with Cloud or Infrastructure Sever. · VMware VCP is Mandatory. · BS in computer science or related field plus 4 years’ experience. · 4-6 years of experience can be substituted for 4 year of college.
