Hi, Kindly check out the below position and let me know your interest. *Role: SAS Programmer* *Location: 42-09 28th St Long Island City, NY 11101* *Duration: 6 Months* *Working Hours: 35 work hours per week* *Interview: Face To Face* *Client: DOHMH (Department of Health and Mental Hygiene)* SCOPE OF SERVICES The Bureau of Epidemiology Services (BES) is seeking a consultant to work on additions to EpiQuery (EQ), an interactive website that allows epidemiologic analysis of New York City-specific public health data ( nyc.gov/health/epiquery). BES is a multidisciplinary unit with the goal of combining cutting-edge epidemiology research and data analyses with policy development, recommendations and data communication. The EQ consultant will work under the direction of the Director of Data Communications. The consultant will make updates to existing modules in the application, adding new data, data checking and modifying the design as necessary for the NYC HANES, CHS, YRBS, Child, STD and Syndromic modules. These modules allow for analyses of survey and disease surveillance data, producing data tables and graphs by demographics and bivariates. In addition, the consultant may be complete new modules for the application. The consultant will be expected to write and/or refine the SAS code for each level of the module, including embedded HTML and JavaScript to build webpages and work within the SAS eBI system. While existing code will be available for reference, the consultant will be expected to consider innovative techniques to accomplish the goals for these projects. The consultant will work closely with the Data Communications team to design a working internal site for each updated or new module, providing a testing environment and demonstrating the site as developed. In addition to the code for the site, the consultant will be asked to thoroughly document the development process.
