*Title: Sr. Linux Admin* *Location: Mount Vernon, WA* *Duration: 6 months and can extend* *Skills Required:* · Senior Linux Administrator with experience over 7-10+ years. · Extensive experience on Linux Clustered environment with double digit clustered setups. · Experience on engineered systems executing jobs across multiple parallel nodes. · Presentable experience on Linux versions 5.x & 6.x · Hands on experience using Cluster Manager, Queuing and Resource Manager · Knowledgeable on Ethernet management and InfiniBand MPI network fabrics · Very good written and Oracle communication · Execute installation(s), configuration(s) changes & patching · Engage with principal product vendor for technical and bug fixes *Detailed Assignment/task received from the customer* *Daily Tasks:* 1. Monitor health of compute nodes 2. Monitor head node health 3. Monitor queueing system and resource manager application operation 4. Monitor Cluster Manager application operation 5. Monitor health of Ethernet management and InfiniBand MPI network fabrics 6. Review Cluster Manager log files *Weekly Tasks:* 1. Review Security logs on cluster head node 2. Review System log files on cluster head node 3. Install any critical OS or cluster manager security patches *Quarterly Tasks:* 1. Install non-critical OS security and bug fix patches on cluster head node and compute nodes 2. Install Cluster Manager security and bug fix patches *As Needed Tasks:* 1. Install new applications needed on the cluster 2. Update existing applications on the cluster 3. Resolve problems with jobs releasing from queue system 4. Resolve hardware problems with compute nodes or head node 5. Resolve software problems with Cluster Manager, Queuing and Resource Manager applications 6. Review cluster usage and generate report if requested 7. Add new hardware to cluster 8. Document cluster performance with standard benchmark jobs for new applications, application version changes and hardware changes 9. Add new users accounts and groups to cluster head node 10. Add new user authentication/accounts to Kerberos server 11. Manage disk storage utilization on head node and NFS file/application server 12.
