*Job Title: Java Developer with Liferay experienceLocation: Washington DCDuration: 6+ month open ended contract* *MUST BE LOCAL F2F REQUIRED / MUST HAVE EXP WITH Liferay* *General SummaryThe ideal candidate should have hands on, in depth technical implementation knowledge in developing enterprise J2EE applications, portlet based applications and absolutely comfortable in* *converting architecture designs, process models to actual implementation.* *ResponsibilitiesResponsible for writing application code and development activities for several large projects.Deliver quality code and exhibit expertise in analysis, development & unit testing in a complex application environment, leveraging resources within and outside the team as necessaryDevelop repeatable JUnit and integration tests and improve code qualityDevelops, maintains, and communicates processes and standard practices related to the design, development, and implementation of application solutions and patterns.Facilitates and enables the integration of applications and business processes using common methods in managing several projects.Maintain a focus on quality, attention to detail, communication and delivery to tight timescales.Mentor and ensure quality deliverables from Junior developers* *QualificationsBachelor’s Degree and at least 8 years of experience in IT.At least 5 years of experience working hands on developing J2EE enterprise applicationsAt least 2 years of experience with design and development of applications/portals using Liferay CMSHands-on experience with projects built on Service Oriented Architecture principles.Hands on working in Liferay portal environment with very good understanding on portal life cycle, Liferay CMS and Liferay built-in User/group level permissions.Demonstrated experience with J2EE technologies, messaging, object-oriented programming concepts, and multi-tiered distributed applicationsExperience in developing web application using Spring MVC, Struts2 and/or JSFExperience developing SOAP WSDL Web Services and REST servicesExperience with HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, JSON, AjaxExperience with J2EE Framework and any ORM such as Hibernate, Toplink, JPADatabase experience such as Oracle, My SQL and JDBC.
