*Title: SAP BASIS - BW Consultants Location: NYC, NY Length: 5-6 months w/ option for additional time* Requirements: Must have 3-5+ years of SAP basis experience AND at least 2 SAP BW Upgrades Duties and Responsibilities include the day to day administration of new and existing SAP systems. The tasks covered in this scope of work include but is not limited to: Installation and Configuration of at least 3 distributed SAP systems (ECC, CRM, BI, PI, EP) Maintain SAP production system uptime Verify Backups and perform recoveries Monitor Application servers and report issues Monitor and resolve short-dumps and report issues Monitor jobs and report issues Troubleshoot issues related to monitoring responsibilities Monitor and analyze system performance and recommend configuration changes and enhancements Assist with Hardware capacity planning Perform Transports Implement Service Packages, updates and new applications Refresh development and test environments Ceate and initialize new SAP instances Database Administration Oracle 9.x/10.x database administration activities including BR Tools Management Implementation of High Availability (Fail-over) Solution Backup and Recovery administration procedures for SAP systems to 3rd party Backup utilities. Oracle performance tuning Work with audit personnel to provide audit evidence and suggest ways to improve the security of the SAP environments. Must be familiar with using SAP run preparation, and SAP upgrade using downtime-minimized strategy. Must have experience with pre and post-upgrade cutover tasks for Basis and security. Must know how to apply latest kernel patches and support packages. Must be proficient in Unix database administration. .Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
