*Project Location* *New York City, NY* *Duration* *6+ Months Contract* *Interview Process: - Phone +* *F2F* *Visa: Any* *Job Description* *Note:* - *Must be minimum 10yrs real experience* - *Most of the experience HAS to be with big US companies’ financial services* - *Excellent communication skills* - *Has to be a 'stand out' candidate* *Key Responsibilities:* •Perform SQL Server database level maintenance, optimization, integrity checks, recovery, and handling failover of databases •Implement and monitor backups of SQL databases using both native functionality, as well commercial packages •Monitoring database performance and optimize custom SQL objects. •Implement and perform database encryption algorithms •Automate and perform database restores/system refreshes of non-Production environments using Production data. •Implement data and database replications. •Setting up users using SQL Security models, and objects – principals and securable. •Implement heartbeat to monitor overall system health. •Perform root cause analysis and remediate SQL server performance issues and provide recommendations to optimize queries, and other custom SQL objects •Install/upgrade/maintain/configure/set up servers running SQL Server Suite (integration services/ reporting services ) •Coordinate, and work with technical resources (internal and external) to facilitate any ETL & SFTP related projects and remediate & troubleshoot issues. •Design ETL process using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services 2008 version of higher. •Install/upgrade, configure, test, and perform issue resolution of third party commercial applications such as Sungard Investran, FundInsight, Zephyr, Sharepoint and JAMS. •Maintain/support/troubleshoot Windows application and web applications. •Identify and establish processes to ensure critical application services are being monitored, and the overall health of an application is stable and performing optimally. •Facilitate database and application promotion from QA to Production. •Plan and coordinate security measures alongside security team and network administrators. •Provide support and administration of SQL server environments that will serve as the back-end repository for both commercial IT and custom applications. •Collaborate with HelpDesk on application/system infrastructure support *Skills & Educational Requirements:* •Minimum: Bachelor Degree in Information Systems or equivalent. ( Technical degree preferred ) Applicant should have at least 6 to 8 years of related experience •Deep knowledge of SQL Server administration and scripting •Expertise in application and infrastructure support for Microsoft SQL Server Suite 2005 or higher, Windows applications, Microsoft SharePoint 2010/2013 and MS LYNC. •Expertise in Microsoft Powershell, •Experience in designing, and administering Microsoft SQL Server multi-site database topology (cluster, mirroring, Always On Availability Groups). •Experience with database encryption algorithms •Excellent problem solving skill. •Experience with the development, project collaboration, and source control methodologies inherent within Team Foundation Server •Experience with Sungard Investran and JAMS Job Scheduler a plus. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. •Drive all aspects of the product implementation in order to meet requirements and deliver superior client service •Interact with internal/external clients to provide a high level of customer satisfaction with the services being implemented and utilized •Passion working with data, analytics, database, programming, and implementation of commercial applications. •Must be able to effectively understand, define, and document the business and functional requirements •Results oriented, with a demonstrated ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities Thanks & Regards, Udbhav Mathur Talent Acquisition Specialist Email:- umat...@tekshapers.com <tar...@tekshapers.com> Gtalk: udbhav.intime Tekshapers Inc. – WMBE Firm 1441 E.
