Job Tittle : Netezza Administrator. Location: Louisville, KY. Duration : 6 Months Contract. Rate :DOE. *Job Description:* Netezza Administration – backup/restore, performance tuning at server and query level, security configuration, workload/resource management, data distribution and data reclaim experience, health checks, etc. Development Support – Push DDL/data through environments, assist with query/table design, coach developers on best practices for optimal performance, etc. Unix – BSH/KSH scripting in support of automation/monitoring/alerting, overall comfort working within the environment (file system, security, KRON, logs, etc.) Thought Leadership – Provide recommendations on improvement opportunities (automation, administration, platform architecture, un-exploited features, etc.) Good communication skills (verbal and written), ability to mentor other DBA’s on best practices.
