The Sr. IAM Developer is a key member of the Identity & Access Management
(IAM) team responsible for designing, developing, modifying, evaluating,
and implementing web single sign on integrations. This position is the
primary developer/integrator for web access management, federation, and
authentication services, and has responsibility from initial engagement
with customers through production implementation.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Development
o Assist developers, project managers, architects in the design,
development and integration of applications into Medtronic’s Identity and
Access Management environment
o Gather and document customer requirements for new development
o Facilitate testing, validation and documentation of errors found
o Work with project manager to ensure successful completion of projects
o Mentor more junior resources in development practices and help them
develop analytical skills
o Maintain a productive relationship with business sponsors and end users
o Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practicable, and consistent with
organization objectives
o Support production implementations in a wide variety of times to meet
business availability requirements

 Process Improvement
o Analyze, design, document, and implement technical or process
improvements within current standards and architecture
o Define and develop policies and procedures for development operations to
ensure consistency, reduce rework, and improve security and quality
o May perform review of development work from other team members to ensure
standards are upheld and business needs are met

Documentation
o Maintain documentation on development projects
o Maintain requirements documentation for projects
• Maintain and develop relevant industry knowledge to understand evolutions
and advancements in the marketplace which could bring value to the team or
the company
• Manage POC’s for new capabilities or solutions to determine project
requirements or feasibility as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's degree

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
• 4+ years of IT experience with B.A or B.S; 2 years of IT experience with
M.A or M.S

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
• 2+ years of experience in IT Security or Identity & Access Management
• Experience with design, development, and integration with Identity &
Access Management solutions, such as:
o Authentication/SSO/Federation – CA SiteMinder, CA SiteMinder Federation,
Microsoft ADFS, RSA Adaptive Authentication
o Directory/LDAP – Active Directory, CA Directory, SunONE / Oracle
Directory Server, or Radiant One Virtual Directory

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3+ years of IT Security or Identity & Access Management experience with
solid understanding of principles, policies and best practices
• Strong web application development background
• Good understanding of Web Services - Rest and SOAP
• Familiarity with WebLogic or Tomcat application servers and various web
servers (IIS, Apache, Sun Java WS)
• Coding/development skills in Perl, ASP, Java, Scripting
• Knowledge of HTML, JAVA, J2EE, JavaScript and .Net
• Familiarity with Windows and Unix environments and common commands.
• Familiarity with API management and associated security concepts
