*NOTE: For h1b consultants, we need H1B VISA COPY and ID PROOF must for submission as it was insisted by Infosys* *Skill Set : **Ontology Lead* *Location : NYC, NY* *Duration : 6 Months (Extension Possible)* *Experience : 8+ Yrs* *Client : Platts* *Mode of interview: Initial phone screening + SKYPE or WebEX* *Job Description: **Required Skills:* • Experience developing ontologies and taxonomies preferably with an ontology tool, specific knowledge of Temis Luxid, Ontotext or Protégé a plus • Knowledge of semantic logic and data linking • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential • Experience with process management • Experience with information architecture and/or data science • Familiarity with taxonomy best practices in general, industry specific preferred. *Responsibilities:* • Maintain the Global Ontology for client, including best practices and relationships, ensuring model consistency, preventing or resolving violations of class and ontology rules, overseeing release cycles of the ontology and implementing requests for changes from domain owners. • Application Management - Leads the implementation and updating of workflows and procedures for taxonomy tagging, application of key words, hierarchies, metadata management across all client content. • Governance & Training: Responsible for assisting in oversight of the reference data stewardship governance program , including participating in the ongoing training of data SMEs as data stewards and helping set policy for reference standards. • Metrics: Own metrics on the maintenance, timing, accuracy and changes of our taxonomy/ontology/metadata. Performs content analysis and evaluates the impact of potential and actual taxonomy changes. Identifies and addresses gaps in content metadata. Provides regular reports on this analysis to business stakeholders as needed. • Enforce policies and implement controls that provide appropriate change management of terms, categories and linkages between terms and content. • Champion the usage and benefits (external and internal) of a controlled ontology, including active participation by data SMEs from across the organization and quality and timely delivery of these data to our customers. Encourage the incorporation of relevant data domains across the business. *Qualifications:* • BA or BS in Library Science, Information Science, Management Information Systems or related field required, Masters preferred. • 5+ years of experience creating and maintaining corporate taxonomy and/or ontology • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, resources and dependencies • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal skills and organizational skills -- Thanks & Regards, ASHOK Technical Recruiter DVG Tech Solutions LLC.
