Role : Cloud Architect Location: Dallas TX Duration:Long Term Rate:Open Job Summary: 1) Business architectural, analysis and planning skills a) Lead the development of the technical solution or offering, in translating the business needs into technical requirements b) Identify gaps, strategic impacts, financial impacts and the risk profile in the technical solution or offering, and provides technical support c) Consults with clients to assess current problem states, define desired future states, define solution architecture and make solutions recommendations. May be required to participate in internal and external planning sessions d) Evaluates client business, process, systems and technology requirements during the planning phases, and advises clients on best practices to help guide and solidify proposed designs. May be required to consult with customers regarding data enter design and migration plans e) Ability to delivery Proof Of Concepts to instill confidence a) Software engineering proficiency at developing cloud-ready applications, such as those built on open standards, network development and monitoring skills, and security skills b) Define cloud delivery models and cloud infrastructure architecture c) Identify and implement cloud optimization strategies d) Perform service delivery platform benchmarks for cloud implementations e) Define and oversee Application Migration initiatives to cloud f) Gather requirements, topology information and deployment details as inputs to datacenter migration efforts g) Partner with infrastructure operations, platform optimization, and datacenter operation teams to scope, define, size and execute application onboarding, migration & consolidation initiatives h) Identify opportunities for cloud onboarding i) Perform capacity planning and forecasting for cloud Qualifications In-depth technical skills in infrastructure design & server infrastructure implementation. Knowledge about RESTful APIs and to architect cloud ready applications. Good understanding of DevOps technologies such as Chef, Puppet, Zookeeper etc. Experience conducting proof-of-concept, developing prototype and reference models. Familiarity with datacenter concepts and best practices, high-availability systems, capacity planning system performance evaluation, and diagnostic techniques and methodologies.
