*Candidates must be local and available for a F2F interview. * *Must have hands on experience in Datastage job monitoring, system administration, and error investigation. DB experience a must. Cognos platform administration a plus. * *Overview:* - The System Administrator /Analyst for the IBM Infosphere and Cognos platform has in depth knowledge of the IBM InfoSphere and Cognos suite to support Datastage jobs, Information Analyzer, and Cognos in a busy multi-project environment. This role requires expertise in administering Cognos and/or InfoSphere -Datastage platform on an Unix/AIX environment, Key responsibilities are the following but not limited to: - · Provide off-hours support to troubleshoot, capacity planning, and performance optimization. Be available for monitoring and responding to system issues. - · Install/upgrade Information Server product suite on multi-tiered architecture and this administrative support includes DataStage, QualityStage, InfoAnalyzer - · Manage security, sessions, configurations, project parameters logs, schedules, cleanup and database optimizations. - · Familiar with metadata, its management and use in projects; Import and share assets - · Implement procedures for maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, backup, and recovery operations for the suite and the ETL environment. - · Reporting on health using audit tracing and ISA Lite and performance of the ETL environment and jobs. - · Enhance the DBA operations team by providing expertise in monitoring of Datastage jobs - · Work with Infrastructure group on system optimization, troubleshooting, and debugging. Apply fixes, patches and Service Packs as required and provided, keeping the InfoSphere environment up-to-date. - · Strong knowledge of IBM-AIX operating systems and WebSphere application servers. - · Knowledge of managing Business Glossary, Metadata Workbench, Information Analyzer, and assist data stewards manage the business glossary content. *Required Skills and Experience:* * At least 5 Years of experience in administering InfoSphere/Cognos platform on an UNIX/AIX environment. * Skilled in monitoring Datastage jobs, including participating in error investigation * Thorough understanding of the suites technical concepts and using Information Server manager, director, and IS tools. * Strong problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong team player with positive can do attitude. * Knowledge of SQL, databases, reporting environments.
