Duration: about 6 months Number of People Needed: 2 Rate: $50/hr C2C MAX * * ***FIREWALLS ENGINEER NOT A NETWORK ENGINEER**** This person is responsible for the configuration, deployment, and integration of firewall and remote access infrastructure into Citi globally on the various technology platforms supported across the firm. The engineer will work with the Network Operations team and CATE teams, among others, and ensure that new devices are properly registered in DNS and in the various asset management systems, and are deployed according to the standard build using the approved CATE baselines. Once deployed, the engineer will ensure proper turnover to the Ops teams and SOC so that standard performance monitoring and fault management can occur. Competencies: -This position is for a Firewall Engineer, not network engineer -Security Operations experience -Juniper *firewall* skills, preferably JunOS but ScreenOS okay -TCP/IP skills and network troubleshooting -Checkpoint experience, preferably Solaris and SPLAT -Checkpoint Provider-1 and/or Smart-1 experience -Juniper NSM experience Project Requires - -Experience deploying Checkpoint and Juniper firewalls in production Required competence in the supported technologies, experience with networking and TCP/IP, competence in Linux/UNIX, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Engineers also need to be highly organized and be able to multi-task, function under high-stress situations, and have the ability to logically troubleshoot complex network and/or application issues.
