*Position : Data Analyst* (*Commercial Data*) *Location: St. Louis , MO * *Duration: 3-6 Months Interview : Phone / Skype Hire !!!* * GC or USC Only* *Job Description* The Data Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the assigned *commercial business unit* is being provided accurate data to make the best business decisions possible. The individual will be responsible for working with internal and external data providers to tactically make data corrections while strategically trying to drive continuous improvement efforts to eliminate root causes. The ideal candidate will have a proven passion for the data quality discipline and driving continuous improvement. *Job Responsibilities* • Accountable for delivering accurate data to downstream data consumers. • Performs corrective activities in conjunction with the data source owners on assigned data sources. • Investigates and addresses the root cause of data problems. • Partners with data source stakeholders to sustain a working relationship that ensures throughput on correcting data issues and maintains interests in improving operations. • Implements data quality monitoring reports, alerts, and processes • Distributes key performance indicators to primary stakeholders. • Takes responsibility for the compliance of these KPIs to agreed-upon service levels. • Completes data profiling activities to ensure completeness and accuracy relative to the quality specifications for the data. • Creates project charters for continuous improvement efforts and participates in events associated with those efforts. • Participates as a data quality leader in governance activities related to data sources and their associated data providers. • Meets with data stakeholders to review data quality metrics. • Provides analysis and expertise related to metric consistency, trends and reporting. • Assist in conducting research on data tools to meet agreed upon requirements and to support purchasing efforts. *Job Requirements:* • Must successfully complete drug screen if selected for project • IT - 5+ years • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems. • 5+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence / *Data Warehouse environment.* • 3+ years of using technical tools to EXTRACT and ANALYZE large sums of data. • Demonstrated ability to perform ROOT-CAUSE ANALYSIS and develop action plans based on that analysis. • Hands-on approach to DATA QUALITY while supporting data quality initiatives. • Execution of data testing. • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma practices and participation in LSS events highly desirable • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of business and technical personnel. • Translation of data analysis results into business language to allow for discussion focused on business outcomes. • Capability to translate IT-related requirements into functional requirements. • Ability to query relational databases using standard SQL. • Understanding of data warehouse concepts and principles including ETL Regards, Ishan Salaria Sr. Technical Recruiter VSG Business Solutions 221 Cornwell Dr,Bear, DE 19701 Contact No: 302-261-3207 Ext: 102 Email: isala...@vsgbusinesssolutions.com <kail...@vsgbusinesssolutions.com> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle Developers" group.
