Position:SHARE POINT OPERATOR Location:Houston,TX Duration:12+months Description: This group does all of what I would refer to as Sharepoint Support. The clarification is elevated support/ administrative functions + trouble shooting+ + This group also runs the Sharepoint Central Admin center. This person will be required to be a jack of all trades. This means that at anytime they could be asked to Configure changes in sharepoint, or Trouble shoot a problem perhaps why something isn't working and determine if it is Database related, or Server related or ping the server or identify a network problem. ETC. This person will need to be able to understand how SQL works with Sharepoint and how Active Directory works with Sharepoint. This person will also need to understand infrastructure Architecture so that they can determine if an issue with sharepoint is server, network, database or other as the issue. They will need to be able to do Server Performance Monitoring. SKILLS NEEDED HEAVY SHAREPOINT SUPPORT SHAREPOINT ADMIN WORK IIS MOSS 2007: EXPERT ANY SHAREPOINT 2010 is preferred because that's where they are going in the future WINDOWS SERVER 2003 SQL SERVER (not as a developer) ACTIVE DIRECTORY SERVER PERFORMANCE MONITORING SHAREPOINT SERVER EXPERT INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECTURE KNOWLEDGE (understanding how everything fits together) Remedy Thanks for your time!
