Title: Applications Manager / Software Engineer Location: Miami, FL Status: Contract Duration: 2 to 3 months Pay Rate: $40 per hour Job Description: The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the management, customization and development of broadcast applications. Responsibilities include: . Provide support for in-house and vendor-built applications . Develop new systems to automate manual processes . Improve existing systems to better serve business . Build interfaces between unique systems . Work directly with users to identify business requirements and provide solutions . Development of web pages and applications . Provide consultation for new systems development, package evaluations and enhancements . Write functional program specifications including design, code, test, debug. . Design, implementation, testing and maintenance of application and database infrastructure . Administer and conduct systems tests taking appropriate corrective action when necessary Technical Requirements: 3+ years of experience with the following: . Must have advanced skills in ASP.NET, SQL and Silverlight. . WPF, WCF, AJAX, Web Application Development, Web Front End. . MS Reporting Services . Data warehousing technologies, primarily MS Analysis Services. . Classic ASP, HTML/DHTML/CSS, JavaScript, VB, VBScript, MS SQL, XHTML. . Experience with UDP file management systems (Signiant, Repliweb, Aspera) preferred. Business Requirements . Proactive approach to problem-solving and technical improvement . Strong analytical skills; able to successfully apply analytical and creative thought . Quality focused, detail-oriented, accurate, organized, proactive . Ability to interact with end users; Customer service orientation . Accurately translate business requests into technical components and actions . Extremely professional and discreet when dealing with confidential information .
