This contracting position would be part of the product development team for an initial 4 month period. The software developer will participate in the design, implementation and testing of multiple SaaS products geared towards the higher education market. The client has a mixed development environment that utilizes both Java/JBoss as well as Microsoft .Net technologies. Development of web-based enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, JBoss, Seam, C#.Net, <http://asp.net/> <http://asp.net/>ASP.Net <http://asp.net/>, Web Services and SQL Server. Develop and automate unit tests. Develop queries and stored procedures within SQL Server 2005. Contribute feedback and guidance to the development of functional and technical specifications. Address software defects with timely resolution. Effectively communicate and collaborate with various team members. Be interested in using different development languages based on business need. For example, the ideal candidate will be willing to learn Java if previous experience is .Net, and vice versa, in order to assist in development activities as needed.
