Quite right. What I refer to as "alba" of the violacea type is more aptly "alboflava"
as the flower is not entirely white, but is devoid of anthocyanins. A true "alba"
would be all white as the name implies, but unfortunately we are sloppy with our
naming, especially since we are not trained tax
Hi All, If you would like to see the largest, firmest textured Colmanara go
to: www.orchidislandorchids.com and click on Specials. I have never seen a
Colmanara flower that size & the texture is like cardboard. Color is more
intense when first open then it fades a little. Good Growing, Bill
