Viateur pointed to an article concerning Phals from Taiwan.
Reading the information accessible through the link I came to the conclusion
that about 25 million phals were exported worth USD 25 million (gave or take
a few bucks). This is about USD 1.- each. Is this correct, or do I miss
something

Eric Christenson, in his monograph, reclassifies Doritis ppulcherrima as
Phalaenopsis pulcherrima in section Esmeralda. He also separates out var.
buyssoniana as a separate species. He also includes in the section, P.
regnieriana, apparently known only from the type collection.
