Iris,
The one I bought had the cultivar name 'Orchis' on the tag. I left it off
when I labeled the photo I took when it bloomed last yr simply cuz I wasn't
sure that cultivar name "belonged" to the grex Peoker Dense or if it
belonged to the unregistered name Black Ruby. Here's a link to my last pic
I don't know about you, but this sounds like horse shit to me.

Jim,
I am a coir / coconut husk convert. I use the coir for all of my seedlings and deflasking, for species that like a drier mix I add a little Aliflor or fine fir bark. Phals and Paphs love it straight out of the bag with a good leaching ( some suppliers have a high salt level ). I prefer the ag

Ray,
There is no doubt in my mind you know what you are doing in regards to
semi hydroponics.
I was only trying to note to Roy and others who are trying to use an all
perlite mix, that an all perlite mix would work better in a semi
hydroponic system as you describe on your website, then in the w

I've grown out and bloomed hundreds of the (Golden Peoker X Brother

the plants that bloomed out. I purchased many flasks from the Wu's with j

Thanks. Since the one being sold as Black Ruby is a mericlone, I assume the correct name is Peoker Dense 'Orchis.'

Yesterday, for no good reason except supporting our orchid society, I bought a keiki of a peloric Phal. equestris. Since there is no way I know of to search the records specifically, does anyone happen to know the best or most recently awarded peloric Phal. equestris?
Thanks,
Iris
